GMRS/FRS?

Lost Echo Hams is looking into the possibility of adding GMRS/FRS to our emergency communications plan for the Echo Lake community and vicinity. If you have a GMRS license and are interested in participating in a local simplex/duplex test exercise, please email info@wa7leh.net with your GMRS callsign and approximate location. This may lead to a possible GMRS/FRS net in the future to test our equipment. Thanks!

There is an open GMRS Repeater in the Echo Lake community, but with limited coverage for local lower elevation areas. There is a very powerful open repeater, known as East Tiger (Tiger Mountain), also known as the Oly-Comm3 repeater. It has coverage From Northern Kitsap County to Olympia.
